Beginning Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the Aberdeen Regional Airport will begin a full reconstruction of the terminal access road and parking lot.
Please note:
- All flights will remain on schedule.
- From August 14th until phase 1 completion, all guests must use the temporary access road south of the National Weather Service.
- Detour Signage will be in place to guide traffic to the detour routes during the 3 phases of construction.
- Parking is limited. We encourage drop-off/pick-up when possible.
- Temporary lots will be available during construction phases, please note they are farther from the terminal.
- Please allow an extra 15 minutes to navigate construction.
- Car rentals remain available.

The City of Aberdeen will add updates and alerts through notify me, SMS/emails, on the website, and social media on each of the following.
- Aug 13: Terminal road closed; detour activated.
- Aug 14: Parking lot reconstruction begins all guests and employees must use the detour routes to access the airport terminal and parking, please see maps on the webpage and social media.
- Sept 29: Overflow parking available to use.
- Oct 1: Terminal Access road reopen.
- Oct 3: South parking lot reopen.
- Oct 6: Phase II & III (north lot) construction begins.
- Nov 14: Project completion. Dates are subject to change please be aware.
